There is a 17 year brood, and a 13 year brood they both emerged in 2001, how many years earlier did they also emerge together again?

    The answer is that number of years ago that is exactly divisible by 13 and 17, both of which are prime numbers, so it was 17x13 years earlier, or 221 years.

    No clue what you asking, what do you mean emerge? From the nest holes? 17 year or 17 year old? What brood you talking about? what's the frequency of emerging? Are they moles?
