What is it that real men and women are suppose to do around the house to prove themselves to one another?

There does seem to be some weird dynamic today related to household chores.

We truly do have a 50/50 situation within our home. Both of us works just as hard around the house, but we do different tasks.

I don't think either spouse should have to "prove" anything. I think everyone should contribute. Household chores are extremely important, and some women do complain that their husbands could "show they care" by contributing more. But I also think that making time for your spouse should be a priority over housework.

So what's up with all the dish washing liquid and the places people are wanting to put it. I know I'm old, but am I missing something here?

Mrs Snarky is right, we split everything evenly. On odd days I get to be on top,,,and I'm going to try this dish washing liquid stuff.

I don't like this phrase, 'If I do this for you, then you do this" How immature. Just Git r done, and a thank you or I appreciate your help will go alot further for a stronger marriage. In the Big picture, the person who has the 'talent' (cooking, cleaning), or the time should take care of it. Open communicatio is a must too.

I don't care how the responsibilities are split as long as we're in bed together at night with some time together. If I have to do some dishes to get a little more action then so be it.

Get to work with that soap and I'll throw dishes in the washer and hit 'wash' button at the same time.

Real mem and real women work together pleasing each other and hiring someone else to do the house work! That would be nice if they could afford it! Most men don't mind being her B*tch if she treats him right in the bedroom!

I love to vacuum and cook. I hate washing dishes and washing clothes!!! I help my wife because I love her and she is not my maid and because she does not nag me. I'm far from a B`tch!! I prove that in MMA a training everyday!!! Im just a man who loves and respects his wife and don't mind helper her!!!

Personally it's my fantasy for the spouse to clean the whole house.. That would prove a lot to me.... I'd show my appreciation ...

I do laundry, dishes, and yardwork..along with other household duties. my wife appreciates it, so I don't mind helping when I can. besides, I'm the one who usually messes the house up anyway! I get "brownie" points...but I can't explain here what that means!! :)

We use a house cleaning service so there is no problems here.

Real ADULTS don't have to PROVE anything to each other.
