my sons were messing with my tv buttons and now i cant turn it on?
my two boys kept pressing the buttons on the tv and now it wont turn on with remote or button on front... i tried plugging it in other places.. could they have shorted something?

When you unplugged it, leave it unplugged for 5 minutes, plug it back and see if it works. If not, then probably the in-line fuse mounted on the mainboard could be defective. You can find this fuse by following the power cord into the TV(remove the back cover) and where the cord is attached to the mainboard, you should see a fuse mounted up from the mainboard. You didn't say whether this is a CRT or LCD type TV. A sleep timer could have been activated and it can only be reset by unplugging the TV for a few minutes.

I am sorry to say, but pressing buttons repeatedly will break it. The button pushes a little switch. When you push the buttons a lot, it pushes that button back, and you would have to open up th tv to fix it.
