are you allowed to have mustache in the army?

Hehe....the other guys are right, but if you have one and you're aviation, you still get laughed at...in fact, nope...none of us have them unless we're doing it as a joke. Frankly, the mustache is annoying- it rubs on the mic boom when you're flying.

That said, you can have them. Most of the people I see with them are supply dudes.

During basic and AIT you have to be clean shaven and have a military standard haircut. The mustache regs are so stupid. You should just have to keep it clean, shaped, and cut. They have this pencil-lead thin dick/douche gay mustache that many wear and it look so stupid. It's like a fake strip of hair just above the upper lip. To me it makes the guy having it look like a total wuss, no matter what the rank.

The regulation states that a mustache may not extend past the corners of the lips, or be so long as to touch the lips themselves.

You can't have a beard because it makes it impossible for your protective mask to seal properly.

You can have one but it cannot go beyond the edge of your lip and it can't be something stylish (no handlebar mustaches). I'm pretty sure you won't be allowed to have one during basic since that was the policy when I went through.

In BCT you will not be able to have any facial hair and they will cut your hair off. Now when you get in AIT you are allowed to but inly to a certain length. Depending on where you are they will have rules and regulations about it.

Not in Basic, But you can afterwards but it cannot extend beyond the sides of lips and must be neatly trimmed (no handlebars, etc.)

yes, as long as it's neatly trimmed, you can't have one in Basic or AIT though
