Charging My Laptop with a Higher Voltage Charger?

My Hp Charger suddenly stopped working. A friend of mine let me use his, but I'm sure it will damage my computer in some way. First of all, my original charger's voltage is 18.5V, and his charger is 19.5V, will this charger damage my laptop? And if so, what will go wrong?

Yes it is definitely possible however you "may" be lucky.

I work at a computer store and we only sell replacement chargers with the same Voltage however Amperage can be higher.

I suggest use his if you really really need to until you get yours replaced, I recommend you limit use of your friends charger and get a new one asap.

I think u should just buy a new charger for your lapt.

Different voltage may cause your battery burned..
