can i get the F's from my academic transcript removed?

When i graduated from high school in 07 i got prenant with my daughter. I went to community college in fall of 07 but i dropped out by never showing up to class. i had my duaghter in aprl of 08 and took classes fall of 08 but ended up failing my classes. I had to take care of my daughter and it was very hard for me.. I wanted to go back to school but i was put on academic probabtion.. i talked to a councler and she said i can only take 2 classes and had to pass and that was this semester fall of 09 but i ended up dropping one class and i stop showing up with the other. i have 2 F's on my transcript and im pretty sure this will be my third.. Ive had such a hard time taking care of my daughter and supprting her and been have been so depressed. I also just couldn't concentrate in class and couldntt do work at all. i have gotten more help now from my mom and sister and i want to better myself by actually staying in my classes without failling or dropping out. i have wasted so much time and want to start off fresh. iI have no credits at all and my GPA is 0.0.is there anyway to remove the F's i have from my transcript. Maybe talking to a councelor and telling her my situation and the reason why i was doing so horrible. Is there a way of doing that. would it be better if i tranfered to a diff community college? Im really trying to get my life together. My brothers and sis have thier masters and graduated from very good universities but i just cant seem to get it together and i really need to becuase i have a daughter.

the schooling system isn't lenient with that kind of stuff. once the F is on there, it stays there. in australia, the high school results are only valid for 10 years after you graduate. you can always go to tafe or something and create a pathway to get to university. high school results arent everything, dont worry.

Don't go back to college unless you're sure that you have your home life in order. If you have help now - and I also suggest that you consider seeing a counsellor - then fabulous. If you're ready, then that's great. But if you're not ready, then wait.

Speak to someone at the community college you'd attended. See if they do offer a fresh start program, as the other poster suggested. If they do, then take advantage of that.

If not, then do consider going to a different cc, if you feel that, mentally, that will give you a new beginning. Although these old classes would always exist on your transcripts, and you won't yet qualify for federal aid (due to your low GPA at your current school), your GPA at your new school would start fresh. If you did well there, you'd be able to bring your overall GPA (at both schools) back up to a 2.0, and would again qualify for aid.

And think about what your goals are. What do you want from college, exactly? And do you need a full associates degree right now, or might doing a short course - a certificate - in something that's in demand in your region not be a better choice for you right now? You can get the certificate, start working, and then go back to complete your associates once you start to have your feet under you.

I don't know what's in demand in your region, but you can ask the college. In my region, a certificate in either medical assisting or administrative assistant would be beneficial. A Certified Nurses Assistant course might also be of value. You won't get rich doing any of these jobs, but they can provide you with a stable basic income, and give you a job to work at while you think through your options for a career.

Your local community college is the best place to do this sort of education. It's your least expensive option, and it's reputable.

I am not positive about this, but I think some schools have a rule that after a certain amount of time you can have a fresh start and will reset your gpa (and your coursework, but that doesn't matter since you don't have any credits). Its worth looking into, especially if you can afford to wait awhile. I also think you might as well talk to the counselor and see what they can do for you. Another thing that comes to mind is you could apply to another school without sending them your transcripts from the community college since you don't have any credits. Do you think you would do better in online classes? I've had some similar problems to yours, and for me online classes are a breeze. You could try some of the places that are strictly online, or you could just sign up for online classes at the community college and build some confidence before you try going to more traditional classes. Sorry I couldn't give any more concrete information, but I hope everything goes well for you!
