I can't seem to get on the internet with it.. probably since it doesn't have the right drivers. I can get on the net, just not with that computer.. Please Help!! I am so stuck. Thanks in advance!!

first of all , as you can know that getting online should be through dial up or DSL or broadband thing. you can configure your whole drivers by letting the steps i write to you help you out do exactly what i tell you and you will get most of your drivers get configured.

you click on start and then control panel on your right, then go to administrative tool click on and then click on computer management on device manager from there see the drivers that are installed and see if there is any ? with yellow color if there is any click on it and click check for any new hardware changes and it will try to get it from your operating system .you can know that getting on line if you get a dial up don't need anyhting but the modem card and when it is there when you connect to the net it gets into the net fast ... if you got DSL then you can and should have the CD of the device of the DSL as this is a must or you can't get into the net.you said you can access another computer so you know the drivers you got and need to be installed so you go to the websites where these drivers are and download and then burn it into CD and then install into your computer so your operating system will work and wish you good luck.

Many drivers for Vista may not paintings for XP or vice versa, a few do exactly excellent. Your private information must be excellent. The submitting method did not difference an excessive amount of with Vista that XP must learn it. BUT I might let you know to burn your whole private and unreplaceable stuff to DVD or CD, wipe your rough force, and set up to a recent HD. You'll have much less hassles through a long way. If your on a computer and beginning it up does not scare you there is regularly the choice of shopping a brand new HD and making your present HD a slave to the brand new one. You would not need to burn a factor and when you transferred the whole thing off of the historical force you would wipe it. Or you would make your pc a twin boot pc till your obviously designated you desire to ditch Vista for well. Note: When your doing all of your updates you'll be able to have M$ mail you that massive SP2 replace. It will take a couple of weeks, but when your on dial up it will take approximately the equal period of time.

Find the correct drivers for the network card in that machine and put them on a USB thumb drive. Once you get on the Internet simply get the rest of the drivers. If this is a name brand machine, you should only need to go to that companies support site and enter the machine ID (on a sticker on the back, the website will show you how to find it) and it will list all the software and drivers for that box.
