Best College Team Vs. Worst NFL Team?
Are there any college teams that you think could actually beat the worse NFL team (whoever that is)? Which team could beat which team? What would be the score? Who is the game's MVP???

I think if you hand picked a team of starters from the NCAA, you know like getting Eric Berry, Mark Ingram, Colt McCoy and so, and got a squad of sure fire NFL players next year(most could easily be rookie starters) and assembled the best coaching staff you could put together, then you could probably beat a real bad NFL team. But to match up say.. the Horns against St. Louis outright, then no, I don't think it could happen
Source(s): Back in the day, the college all stars did play the NFL defending champs. The college squad did manage to win a few games, though not many. - Anonymous5 years ago
The pro team would annihilate the college team. It would be so bad it would make the Bills feel better about their loss to the Patriots. The worst team in the NFL is the Dolphins, but they've been hanging in there. 6 of their 11 games were decided by just 3 points. And they did manage to score 28 points vs the mighty Patriots, which is more than Dallas or Indy managed to put up. And they held to the Steelers to just 3 points yesterday (with an assist from the weather). So considering all that, I'd put the score at like 80+ to 0 if the pro guys play for real the entire game. But they'll probably get sick of playing at some point because it will be so easy and they wouldn't have anything to prove.

All logic says that the worst NFL team should DESTROY the best college team. After all, the players that get drafted to the NFL are the best that college football has to offer. Even the best college teams have players that will never make it to the NFL. That being said, you have to wonder aobut team chemistry and leadership. For example, I can't help but wonder if Florida would give teams like the Lions and Chiefs a run for their money, simply because Florida has an obvious team leader in Tim Tebow and good chemistry. Those NFL teams that have no leadership or chemistry.
It would definitely be interesting to see, but I still like the worst NFL team (Lions, Chiefs, or Rams) to beat the best college team (Florida, Alabama, or Texas). As for the score? My guess is something around 27 to 10.

Every player in the NFL was at least a very good player in college, and most of them were stars, so no college team would have a shot at beating any NFL team.
The guy with the Alabama logo in his avatar makes an interesting point. Maybe if you made a college all star team they could be competitive with the Lions or Rams, but I still don't see the NFL team losing.

No way. You have to remember that even the worst NFL team consists of the best of the best college players over a ten year span, and NFL offensive and defensive schemes are much more sophisticated than the ones run in college. Even the worst NFL team(s) would clobber college football's best in a blowout.
If you break down the roster of a team like the Lions, most of those players were All-Americans or at the height of their position while in college. To go even further, the worst NFL teams would even trounce a college all-star team.
