Why is Chicago's mayor Daley saying the Fort Hood tragedy was because Americans love guns?

He said that America loves guns, we see the devastation from that every day and you can't blame a whole group for the actions of one individual. Mainly he was talking about people blaming Arabs/Muslims for what happened, the gun thing was just an aside I think. He was talking at a school when he was introducing a new Arabic language program or something.

Daley is a total idiot though...

I think that what Mayor Daley was trying to say is that gun ownership does not protect you from other people wielding powerful firearms, and some of those people wielding firearms should not have them.

Because to admit the real cause of the shooting would be much less popular. He's probably pushing Obama's gun control agenda. They're taking our prosperity and freedom....they MUST take away our guns before we realize what they're doing and try to fight to regain our rights back.
