Can I get tetanus from being poked by a screw?

I was at my friend's house and his Chair was APPARENTLY coming apart and has happened before, and when I pushed myself up in it, I got stabbed by a Screw inside of it. I got teeny little dot of blood from being poked by it. I kept Pushing the chair open again to examine the screw and it appeared to be clean. What disturbs me is there are also two Rusty as hell looking staples in the chair near the screw area. Now I'm like deathly afraid of having tetanus and I am unaware of my shot updates.

Additional Details

I'm PRETTY sure it was the screw, and the screw looked super clean. But Because I wasn't looking when I got poked i'm praying that it was indeed the screw that poked me. and i'm pretty pretty pretty sure it was the screw, i hope it was the screw.

Update:

Thanks guys, I'll ask my Dad about my shots and see when the last time I got it was.

    No. You won't get tetanus.

Of course you could get tetanus if you are not protected, it's not the most likely thing that will happen, but don't discount it just because the screw looked clean. Looking clean doesn't mean anything when what you're worried about is microscopic.

Call the Dr and check your shots are up to date, if they are not, get a booster, it's really simple.

Just go to the Dr. or if you can't afford the Dr. then go to your local health department. They'll give you the shot, possibly for free, and if not, it's only like ten or fifteen $$$ and totally worth the money, because it protects you from a horribly painful, deadly disease that you DO NOT WANT TO GET.

Just get one. and if you're afraid of needles, honnestly, last time I had a shot, I was very surprised, I could barely feel it at all!

Still don't believe me? Type tetanus into google and read about it. you'll see why we get those vaccines!

Just because it looks clean does not mean anything. Always use triple antibiotic ointment on wounds. Helps a lot. If it doesn't get red and swell a lot, you'll be fine.
