You've done it again, HD. You've bearded the lion in his own den, thus arousing a response from The Big E -- and just after he sent you an email on dreaming dogs. Here goes:

I hate it when Neil Young has a birthday. And Neil Diamond too. And every time Elton John gains another 10 pounds it irks my craw. And The Rolling Stones? Don't get me started.

Now, all the tunes I hear from all the artists I ever loved who really were nirvana through my youthful ears and years remind me of just how old I, yes I, am getting! But, to be truthful, I wouldn't have it any other way. I starred your question as interesting because it is. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I was around 18 when I was first made aware of the legend that is Mr Young, and the track that I first fell in love with was "After the Goldrush". It has a lot to do with a weeks holiday in the West Wales resort of Tenby, swimming in a Sea that would not stop changing colour, and staring out an Owl in the Zoo on top of an Island!
