  • Rainbow Loom Hook ...?

My kid loves to play with her Rainbow Loom and though it would make a great travel companion for her on an upcoming flight. I'm wondering though if the hooking tool would be a problem for the airline ... Here's a link to a picture in case you're not familiar with this ... it looks like a crotchet hook.

  • What tie colour to wear with black suit to a formal wedding?

Hi all, my brother's wedding is fast approaching. I have a really nice black suit. Should I go with the classic white shirt and black tie, or should I jazz it up with a splash of colour?

  • First 5k tomorrow .....?

What's the best advise you would give to a first timer. I'm not intimidated by the distance as I run 5k (or more) regularly. It's must my first time running in an organized timed event.

I've been telling myself "one foot in front of the other" and that seems to calm my nerves ... what would you say?

  • The "shared" lawn .....?

There is a relatively small lawn between my neighbor and I. A small lawn that he NEVER mows. For the last few years (yes, years) I've mowed both sides. Mostly as a goodwill gesture. A gesture that that never even was acknowledged. After a while it just became a matter of fact. Yesterday I came home to find his side of the lawn lined with 22 solar lights. They're stuck in the lawn. They're incredibly ugly, but that's a matter of personal preference. Actually, I don't mind the lights, but 22 of them is just overkill. He also put a rather large solar light in the lawn on his side. The thing is, I have no desire to try navigating these 23 solar lights while doing him a favor and mowing the lawn. I'm now considering just doing my half and letting him deal with his. Would you? Does this make me look like a jerk, or is it him that's to blame for this. What do you all think?

  • Neighbor and our shared lawn?

My neighbor and I share a small lawn. A small lawn that he NEVER mows. For the last few years (yes, years) I've mowed both sides. Well, in fairness, he has mowed maybe three times. Today I came home to find his side of the lawn lined with 22 solar lights. They're stuck in the lawn. They're incredibly ugly, but that's a matter of personal preference. The thing is, I have no desire to try navigating these 22 solar lights while mowing the lawn. I'm considering just doing my half. Would you? Does this make me look like a jerk, or is it him that's to blame for this. What do you all think?

  • Question about Tolls?

Is there a "cash only" option for all tolls in and around Orlando? I'll be travelling around in a rental and want to opt out of their e-toll payment option.

  • Driving a rental in and around Orlando?

I've been reading stories of people who have rented cars in Orlando have been ripped off by the rental company for the sunpass automatic toll payment device. I don't plan on using the Florida Turnpike at all as I have no plans on heading to Miami or the keys. Should I decline the sunpass and the 7 dollar per day charge for it?

  • Orlando Car Rental prices?

Is $283.00 a good price for an 8 day rental? I've never rented in the States before.

    Thanks.

  • My wife thinks everything is easy ...?

She thinks that every home improvement job is as simple as googling how to do it and asking friends for help. I'm not completely useless around the house, but the latest simple job that she has in mind is for us (and by 'us" I mean me and my neighbor) to lift and relay all the paver stones on our walkway and re-do the steps and landing. I have absolutely no experience in this and would be very reluctant to take on a job of this size. Can somebody with some know how help me convince her that this is really a job for a mason or somebody with some experience.

When buying a used vehicle with a specific budget in mind, is it better to buy an older car with more mileage on it from a better manufacturer, or a newer car with fewer miles from a manufacturer less reputable?

  • Invitation wording - need help ......?

We're having a smallish gathering at a pub/restaurant for a 40th birthday celebration. We'd like to provide our guests with a round of drinks and some appetizers. Is there a way to indicate that they'll be on their own for dinner or do we just mention that drinks and appetizers will be provided? Or should we just get together after dinner (after 8) and provide some finger foods and a round of drinks?

  • Disney Trip with 3 and 5 year old - Concerns?

My wife and I are planning a family trip to Disney. Our children will be just 3 and 5 at the time of the trip. I'm starting to have second thoughts about going, worrying that the kids are still too young to really get much out of it. It's an expensive trip and they likely wont remember much, if not anything about it. Our younger daughter still naps and if she misses her nap she's miserable. Is this really conducive to a Disney trip. Plus, I don' think they'll do many of the rides either; in fact my 2 year old is scared of pretty much everything, including fireworks.

My wife will be heartbroken if I bring any of this up. But going might be really hard on all of us, and huge expense at that. I'm more of the "planner" in the family when it comes to going away and she likes to be spontaneous. Is there a way I can bring this up with her without being the "wet blanket?"
