What happened was, NOBODY at CNN had bothered listening to that Alzheimered old man for years. It was letters and complaints that made management actually listen to what he was saying and then they realized that he was senile. Not to mention his OCD which necessitated him to ask a question, say, about venture capitall then when his guest would answer, Lou 'somehow' always managed to add "yeah, that's great.. but how 'bout them illegals?"

CNN is about news and news analysis. Andy Cooper, Ali Velshi, Fareed Zakaria, Christiane Amanpour are reporter/analysts. To think (and say, much less believe) otherwise is to admit either no knowledge of 'realpolitik' (look it up, it's a German word) or you've never watched it.

Admittedly, Wolf Blitzer is a tool and Larry King is a jerk, but CNN is probably THE legit Cable news service.

Personally, I watch 'em all, just to have a variety of opinions and arguments from many sources... that's as opposed to what FOXies do: single-source their 'NewsLite' from such lying sacks of shlt as Sham Hanjob and Swill O'Reilly. (I don't even mention that crewcut nutcase in the too-tight "magic underwear" who peddles his nightmares to all-too-willing consumers.

My favorites are Keith Olbermann, Ed Schulz and Rachel Maddow, in that order. They have the brains and the wit. Period. And their uncanny ability to 'nail' Limbaugh, Rove, et al., with their own words, using actual audio, video and print media to make their case: my heart gets all a-flutter when they show an old tape of Limbaugh pontificating on some marginally relevant topic, then they show later footage of him DENYING that he'd ever discussed that topic... nails him every time.

There IS justice in the world.

No, Dobbs folded under pressure. He got a bullet in the siding of his home about a month ago and he's had numerous death threats to both him and his wife. His viewers should know this.

Fox only has two journalist, Shepard Smith and Major Garrett. You lose those two, and there is nothing left, but right wing propaganda.

Lou Dobbs might be seeking a national office. CNN is just more of a joke that they were last week.

Last time I checked, CNN was irrelevant. They are in the ranked in the 20s as far as ratings for news sources.
