Long sleeves are too short?
Ok, so I usually end up freezing all winter because I can't find shirts that fit well. Every time I've tried to buy anything with long sleeves the sleeves are too short by at least an inch. And I really want some long sleeve shirts this year, not to mention a jacket that fits well.
So I need recommendations.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you solve it?

It sounds like you have longer arms. This happens to a lot of people nowadays. Try looking into 'tall' sizes. Tall sizes have longer arms by default, I do not know how tall you are, but that seems to sound like the problem. Gap and Old Navy sell tall sizes online (and I believe in stores..but don't quote me on that one) and many other brands are now selling tall sizes. And no tall doesn't mean 'plus' so don't worry if you're not plus sized.
I hope this helps

If possible, take the tops to a tailor to see if the sleeves can be "faced". Of course, this works best on sleeves with a hem in them. They basically take out the original hem, add some fabric, and put the hem back in, only it's about 1" or so longer depending on the allowance in the hem. This also works well with jackets, especially lined ones. It really depends on the shirt style. Most decent tailors are able to work with this a bit.

interior the enormous and Tall adult adult males element of the shops you will discover the fast sleeve shirts for tall adult adult males are longer than the classic shirt (besides simply by fact the long sleeve and the size of the shirt). circulate to the keep of mall and attempt the shirts that have the Tall on it. in simple terms like the tall tee t-shirts the sleeves are longer regardless to no remember if or no longer they're short sleeve or long sleeve. to that end to make the sleeves proportional to the guy top and length of their arms. The motive is to make the shirt greater mushy for the tall individual (or the enormous individual). look into the enormous and tall sections on the dept keep or circulate to a great and Tall keep. you will then see what i'm talking approximately.

oh yeah definitely. and its not even that your not buying the right size coz you are.. its just the way they make long sleeved shirts these days, its a bit ridiculous.. they should go and make their own market of "sleeves that are not long but longer than short and 3/4's" .. i guess you'll just have to buy a size bigger
