One year old dog has swallowed bar and chain lubricant, now he is vomiting, what do I do, no vet is available?

Call the animal poison control center at 888-426-4435 immediately. However, in the meantime try giving your dog a teaspoonful of hydrogen peroxide. This induces vomiting and will hopefully get the lube out of his system. My dog ate rat poison and this is what the poison control instructed us to do and he was fine. Good luck!

Does the label on the lubricant allow for making a person vomit if swallowed? If so, go to your pharmacy and buy liquid charcoal. Your dog is not going to willingly swallow this (it is nasty), so you will have to force feed the charcoal. Do this somewhere where it will be easy to clean up, because the dog will throw up. You can also call the poison control hot line. It does not just offer advise for people but for pets as well. A lot of people do not know this

If you can not get him to a vet, then call poison control, they will probably tell you to give him as much milk as he will drink. Do not give him something that will cause him to vomit as when the lubricant comes up, it will further damage his throat.
Not too sure, but this has a good chance of killing the dog.

When you call poison control, have the name of the lubricant at hand. A vet is always available for emergencies.

You need to find a vet ASAP!
(888) 426-4435 is the number for the ASPCA's animal poison control line. It might cost you $60 but would be worth it if it saved your dog's life.
