Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket?

Oh....I've had my share of speeding tickets.

But it's been a while...My last one, I think I was 10 miles over the limit too.

I got a ticket...not a warning.

No I have never gotten a speeding ticket. But a whole lot of parking tickets when I was in my 20's.

I did get one moving violation when I had stopped at a crosswalk where there was a school. I waited and then some kids were crossing the street and walked all the way across the street and had stepped on to the sidewalk so I started up slowly to go. I no sooner had started up when this motorcycle policeman stopped me. I thought what the heck did I do. He said that the little girls heel was not all the way on the sidewalk which it mean to him she was going to run back across the street. I got a ticket for 95.00. She was on the other side of the street from me. I still think he was wrong to give me that ticket. All because of the kids heel not being on the sidewalk. can you believe it? It spoiled my never having a ticket record.

well in my life time i have had a few....i even got one for going 16 mph in a 15mph zone...no kidding

It was on a street called a play street in a neighborhood...with a 15MPH speed Limit.....the cop said there had been complaints of people speeding on that street and i was just an example ......i am being serious..........

I have driven well over 100 Mph in places and have never gotten a speeding ticket for actually speeding........but i have gotten tickets for just a few miles over the posted limit.......its ridicules

I am more careful now...that i am older....but i still have my moments of Need For Speed !!

Only once. I was going 19 miles over in a 30 mph zone.

Yes, once for doing 62 in a 45 MPH zone, once for doing 54 in a 35 MPH zone. Fortunately they were both several years ago and I (knock on wood) haven't gotten any tickets recently.

I know several cops and none of them have ever got a ticket for speeding when they are pulled over. A lot of it may have to do with the "code" that cops follow to protect their own. I can't say all cops get out of tickets though. Just the ones I know.

Twice. once for going 60 in a 40 zone and 70 in a 50 zone

Several. I'll admit I have a serious case of leadfoot. The worst was going 98 mph in a 75 mph zone.

Last year, I payed US $5000 over speeding <70MPH> in a <70MPH> zone in Japan.

Personally, no, but my chauffeur got one a little while ago ,he was only going 7mph over the limit,but it was one of those camera thingys.I paid his fine as he was coming to collect me at the time of the offense
