What causes cylinder 1 to misfire on 4 Cyl 98 honda accord?

Yesterday I started my car and the check engine light came on and started flashing. My engine was running rough at a stop and slow speeds almost like it was about to kill. Checked the code and got p0301 which is cyl 1 missfire. Replaced the plug and sounds better but still sputtering checked distributor cap which seem fine but there were shavings inside which could be from the rotor. Should I replace it? What else could it be? Thanks for the help

Spark plug wires are common for misfired problem on these.Only use the quality ones,OEM or NGK or Denso, any cheaper will not last and does not fit well.
