Protein in urine my doctors are shocked.?
Hi i went to the doc to get a regular check up and they fount protein in my urine i have been really stressed being that be and the father of my baby split up a month ago because he went back with his ex girlfriend and is denying my son but at the same time he says that its his and he know he has to pay child support. I have been angry and stressed but im trying to stay calm im doing what is best for my son and for his health. What does protein in the urine mean doctors are shocked because they are starting to find things like i might has pregnancy diabetes i have to have another glucose test already had the 1hr now i have to have the 3hr. and i also have to do a 24 hour urine test where i keep all my pee in a jug for 24 hours and bring it up there after the 24hrs. My sono doc told me if they couldn't find out why he is growing so fast he could be still born i dont know y she would tell a young single mom that he is 8lbs at 36weeks and 3days that's not that bad he is going to be a healthy baby. Im just worried Little he is my first.

i went through the same thing with my first. i had very high amounts of protein in my urine. protein in the urine can be a sign of high blood pressure and gestational diabetes. both are dangerous for the baby because they cause the baby to grow faster and bigger than average. The growth can cause problems with the lungs and other body functions which can lead to a stillborn, i actually had a friend who baby died to her high blood pressure. They sent me to do the 24 and end up having to induce me because they said there were too many risk for the baby to saty in. i was about 37 weeks. My daughter was fine and i am sure your son will be fine. I wish you the best

actually protein in your urine is a sign of pre-eclampsia. so they want to probably check you out and make sure everything is going okay. you are practically a few days away from full term so them even to be talking still born is insane. If they think there's a chance for that, they should be taking the baby NOW - it's full term and will probably be able to go home in 2-3 days.

I think you sono doc might be worrying you about nothing. I know lots of people who have had big babies and they were perfectly healthy. My friends baby was bigger than yours at that age and they had to induce labor early, because he was getting so big but other than that he is a perfectly lively happy healthy baby.
