Vacuum assistance what do you recommend.?
I don't know much about vacuums and I seem to make the mistake of picking mine up from Walmart or sears. they are O.k. at first but when you truly want to clean you find out your choice sucks.
I want to get a suggestion from folks on what they would say is a great and reasonably priced brand. I want one that can vacuum on a kitchen floor as well as one that works on carpet like Berber carpet. I have one dog that does shed hair and I am not interested in the hepa filter crap. studies show that in theory they are good but it won't change anything having a special vacuum with a air purifying filter.
Any suggestion would be appreciated, and a link to the web site were you picked up your would be great.

It of course goes without saying that if you buy a vacuum that costs 50.00 it likely wont be as good as one that costs 500.00. However I think what you buy at walmart or other such place will be just as good as any other. BUt personally I would rather spend 100.00 every couple of years on a new one than invest several hundred dollars all at once. Plus I like buying new things. so it is double the plus for me.

I went onto Consumer Reports and did some research. I have pets so I was really looking for something that would get all the pet hair up, cost was not a factor for me. Under their recommendation of Consumer Best Buy, I bought a Eureka at Walmart no less for around $120.00, and I love it!! It's a 12 amp with a sealed hepa filter, and all the attachments. I have wood floors and carpet and it does a great job on both. It has a switch to convert to whatever floor you are vacuuming at the time, and an adjustment for the height of carpet. Good Luck.

i recently bought a GE canister vac. the best vaccuum I even have ever owned!! I even have 3 canines 2 adults & one teen plus a hamster 2 mice & a rat(misplaced of shavings on the floor in the time of cage cleansing time) The hose has an extender it is going completley decrease than tha settee and has 5 attachments. you could turn the push aside to do tricky flooring and directly to do carpets. you additionally can alter the suction potential to vaccuum section rugs without sucking the entire rug up. the only element i do in contrast to is that it is not bagless yet all the different thoughts and helpful aspects way outweigh that. It replaced into a hundred and fifty.00 at Walmart... this is definatley nicely worth chaecking out!!

Nothing wrong buying vacuum from walmart. They sell same brands as needless markup.
Most of them clean floor as well as carpet. Just remember to put in new filter bag and clean the little foam filter.
If your floors are really bad rent a floor cleaner or call stanley steamer.....

I have a dyson animal. I have had it for 7 years. It has never lost its suction. I have 5 cats. I vaccum everyday. I also vaccum stairs, carpet, cermac tile and my laminate floors. I have never had any problems. It is a little more but well worth the price. I couldn't live with out it. All of my neighbors have one now.
