HELP! My heart 'feels' like its skipping a beat...Please READ & PLEASE HELP?

I really need some help please if you think you can help me read this ... I'll give points or whatever but I just need know if anyone know what this may be or what it IS!

Okay just to start off...I don't have insurence and I don't have money to see a dr and have test ran UNLESS I know it is something really bad. I don't want to die of some heart problem or by being in debt for the rest of my life with 2 children.

FACTS:

I am a 23 year old female. I have had two children. I am not over weight or in shape just where I should be. I may have one or two drinks a week (whisky and water).

The Details -

For about the past 8 months to a year my heart seems to feel as if it skips a beat. It only happens once or twice a month but when it does happen there is no warning, nothing hurts it just hits me at once and it happens so fast. WHen it does happen it takes my breath away.

Now this is something I noticed just yesterday. When I become nervous, very very mad or defenceive, scared or something like that ... my heart "skips" quite a few times and my chest becomes very sore ... its actually hard to explain exactly what it feels like. I just know I was driving and someone pulled out infront of me and I thought I was going to hit them ... now of course we have all felt that moment when it fells like your heart jumped out of your chest but this is more than that because it continues after the problem goes away. ... I am a very nervous person. I hate lots of people around and even when I have to speak to someone I dont know my chest seems to get sore.

PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

It sounds like you may have PVCs, or pre-ventricular contractions. This simply means that your heart may occasionally throw an extra beat. They are often caused by stress or caffeine. Although PVCs are usually harmless, sometimes they may be caused my more serious conditions. Although your symptoms are probably caused by stress, it would be wise to see a physician to rule out a more serious condition, especially since you mentioned having chest discomfort. The doctor may also want to prescribe medication to help with your anxiety. Check with the local health department to see if you may qualify for financial assistance. Also, check out this article about cardiac arrhythmias on WebMd <http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/guide/heart-dis... I hope this helps!

  • i agree with the nurse...i have pvcs and i am nervous too. they are quite annoying. i get them after exercise a lot where it will continue for like 3 or 4 minutes...but it always goes back to normal. i've learned they happen to everyone at some point...some just have them more than others or vice versa. i wish you luck!
