Kimbo fighting Houston Alexander?

So I read that Kimbo's most likely gonna be fighting Houston Alexander at the TUF 10 finale. This would be a pretty sick fight, I like Houston but I've been a Kimbo fan since forever ago. Hopefully Kimbo could KTFO him..what do you guys think?

Kimbo is going to be the bigger fighter. Houston has more experience and is more explosive. Both guys can bang. And both guys have a reputation for having a weak chin, but Houston's chin is weaker, in my opinion. Both guys have a limited ground game. The stamina of both fighters isn't great.

That being said, I love both fighters. They both will bring it.

Houston has some Muay Thai experience, and Kimbo is using a peek-a-boo boxing style. I think Kimbo has better takedown defense. Right now, Kimbo is working out with American Top Team, so he has diversified his training regiment.

I say Kimbo will win because he is bigger.

This is a MUST-WIN for both fighters, and I expect some fireworks. In the end, Kimbo should prevail.

Kimbo is a great stand up artist, he rocked Roy Nelson, very weak ground skills I mean look at his skinny legs, he also has a hard chin, hes never been knocked out...Hes been tkoed but not koed so I'm gonna give standing up and banging to Kimbo. Don't underestimate the ground game he submitted someone in a exhibition with a guillotined. Don't turn your back on someone with knockout power. Houston on the other hand has knocked out some guys with hard chins, Keith Jardine, Alessio Sakara, both pretty decent fighters. Also he has some Muay Thai background and some wrestling. Houston has loss 3 times in his last 3 times, 2 by ko and 1 by arm triangle. All the losses in the UFC besides his first loss ever in a low organization. My opinion is they'll stand up and bang, maybe a little clinching. I hope Kimbo wins because hes down to earth and modest. Houston thought he was hot sh@# when he beat Keith Jardine, he showed no honor and respect a martial artist of any form should show.

If true, Joe Silva made an interesting match-up. Both men have suspect ground defense with Kimbo's obviously being the worst. The time between Kimbo's fight with Roy Nelson and the possible fight with Alexander will be about 7 months, so his takedown defense should greatly improve by then. His standup is solid as seen with wins over other brawlers (James Thompson, Tank Abbott, and Ray Mercer).

As for Houston Alexander, his standup is explosive (as seen in the Kieth Jardine fight), but can also get caught against an effective striker (as seen with James Irvin). His biggest weakness appeared to be against skilled Jiu Jitsui artists, as he was dominated on the ground by Eric Schafer. Luckily, he doesn't have to worry about that against Kimbo.

As for my prediction, Kimbo has performed well against fellow strikers in the past. Alexander will want to make an example out of Kimbo and he's also coming off three straight UFC losses. Alexander will get caught in the first round.

If Houston is in shape - and has the strength he had a few years ago - he will destroy Kimbo.

UNLESS Kimbo has learned a lot of defence and other techniques.

It looks like Houston's strength would keep the fight standing if Kimbo has learned take-down and ground techniques.

Houston's greater MMA toolbox makes him a winner on paper.

The fact that Houston "had" awesome Muay Thai skills - knees, elbows etc - makes him extremely dangerous.

I like Kimbo because he has a cool head and great boxing skills - I also respect that he has the CARDIO and agility - because he has lost most of his useless body fat.

This makes him worthy of being on the show and a contender.

The fact that it appears that he hasn't received a lot of MMA training - more the fault of Jackson's lack of interest in being a proper coach - will make him an undercard against an Alexander that comes prepared and as good as he has ever been.

We'll see if Houston still has his STRENGTH, TALENT and CHIN!

If he does, Kimbo will lose.

i think of Kimbo truly has a incredible possibility of thrashing him. the sole situation approximately Kimbo and his combat against Roy Nelson became into that Roy became into waiting to get all his crimson meat on Kimbo and he might desire to not circulate him. yet at a lighter weight that wouldnt be an issue yet giving him Houston Alexander isn't an basic first combat. Houston Alexander's floor interest isnt the superb so it will probably be saved status which would be good for Kimbo. Im asserting Kimbo Slice-around 2-TKO-2 minutes into the combat

I like kimbo and it would be nice to see him win but I think that Houston is going to put him that clinch and knock kimbo into next week. I don't think Kimbo knows how to defend the clinch and thats a big problem if you are fighting Houston.

Man, someone is gona get KO'd for sure. Both guys are sluggers, and both have glass jaws. I'm gonna go with Kimbo because he's naturally bigger than Houston so I think he has an edge in power. It should be an exciting fight.

i honestly believe that kimbo slice is going to knock his teeth in . unless houstan fights like he did against keith jardine because there is no way that kimbo could take out keith jardine. at least not from what i have seen from him for TUF 10 . even though i am a huge fan of kimbo slice. :)

i think it would be a good fight as far as houstons clinch i think it would be deadly but i dont think he would get close enough to kimbo to get it on him, not taking anything away from houston but he has been knocked down by shot pretty clean shots what would happen if kimbo were to land a big one?
