Question regarding birth control pills?

I have been taking Loestrin regularly since June of this year. Most recently, I was on my period and didn't take the pills for about 3 days in a row. Now I'm off my period and I took a white pill this morning. My question is: am I protected against pregnancy if I have sex tonight?

If you were on your period the pills you were suppose to be taking were probably sugar pills (fillers).

So I don't see any problem with you not taking them. They are only there to help you remember what day you are on.

I'm not sure I understand the question.

The pills that you skipped -- were they the blank pills? If so, you're fine. The blank pills are just there to keep you on schedule. You can either take them, or just count 7 days and start the new pack. (And you stick with the usual pattern no matter when you're bleeding.)

If you missed 3 active pills, or waited longer than 7 days to start the new pack, you'll want to use a back-up method for the rest of the cycle.

It doesn't sound like it,no. If you miss more than one pill, you're supposed to use backup until the pill is effective again (however long you had to wait at first ie a week,a month, etc). Unless it was a white pill, which are inactive pills, then no,it's not going to hurt a thing at all.
