Can I send a resume instead of going in and filling out an application?

I have a nice resume and cover letter ready to go. Is it okay to mail them out instead of going place to place filling out apps even if it's just for a PT job?

Thx!

At some point in the interview process, you're going to be asked to fill out the official application.

Plus, going in person gets you some face time. There are jobs out there, but most places are still looking for good people and a resume received in the mail will probably be quickly overlooked...

A resume and an application are 2 completely fairly some issues. One isn't an alternate choice to the different. in case you do not decide to maintain on with their hiring approaches, you could assure your self which you heavily isn't seen for the job.

if you have names and addresses to send it to, sure - don't expect a whole lot of calls - you might be one of 100-200 people applying for every job and they will only call 2-4 people in for interviews for each opeing
