Like any other television, except you do not receive the signals from a broadcast or from a cable or satellite system, but instead from a dedicated TV camera, connected to the TV receiver via a cable.
Of course there are lots of variations. you may be able to select from different camera's at different locations, or you can use your regular TV receiver, or the signal can be sent via wireless signal or via the internet. Or there may be a recorder in the loop.
