Help! Any advice. A collection agency is taking me to smalls claims court tomorrow.?

In 2006 I closed down my shop it was my understanding that the agency would take the shop equipment and we would be square. they claim they only got $1300 for the equipment and now want to sue me for $3000 in smalls claims court on a debt they claim is $14000. They say they will settle for 2500 cash by the end of the week. I don't have 2500cash. But offered 1500 with monthly payments of $100 ballooning in February around tax time. they rejected my offer saying that since 2006 i've purchased a vehicle and have credit cards. What should I do? or what should I expect in court tomorrow.

Update:

PS ,Actually I've been trying to get help for weeks on the issue, since its its only been 3wks ago when i got the summons.

At least you didn't wait until the last minute to ask for help. Put this whole thing off. Ask for a continuance so that you can consult an attorney. You don't actually have to consult one (although you probably should). It should give a delay of a month or two to either come up with the money, or come up with a defense.
