Are you surprised by commercials that portray black couples being married?

I mean...do you really believe that? It just seems that the media doesn't show many black ppl as married. Is there some statistic that...wait...yep, there is.

Until recently, ad agencies were afraid of displeasing white bigots (who were part of the main target audience). One of the ways they were afraid of offending these whites was by daring to show a strong black culture, such as actually showing black married couples and families.

Now, however, they realize blacks also make a strong target market for many products - especially when sponsoring a program blacks may be watching.

Welfare has worked wonders for the black race !! The number of un wed black mothers is rising as is their abortion rate ! So yes it does seem odd to to see a black man and woman as a wedded couple its becoming a rarity

No because the truth hurts. --- The statistical fact is that over 70 % of all black babies born in America are born to unwed mothers.

Even Al Sharpton has acknowledged this fact.

They portray all adults as being married. Single parents are not for the faint of heart.
