What do you think of my Roman Numeral code for use in tattoos?
I want to get a tattoo, but the only thing I know for sure I want is a scripture reference (probably Jeremiah 29:11-14 or Psalm 45:1).
However, I also love Roman Numerals (maybe it's my love for English and how it relates to Latin...and the fact that the numbers are represented by letters).
I was thinking that instead of doing "Jeremiah 29:11-14" or "Psalm 45:1" I change the entire thing into Roman numerals. For example, Psalm is the 19th book in the protestant Bible so the reference would be: XIX; XL:I. Jeremiah 29:11-14 would be XXIV; XXIX:XI-XIV because Jeremiah is the 24th book in the Bible.
Do you think it's a stupid idea?

that's incredibly unique. yes, you would have to explain the tattoo to everyone, but once you did, they would know. and i agree the guy above that says you should color the jeremiah or psalms a certain color, then the rest a different color. great idea. very original.

I'm a 503!! I would never get that tattooed on my body though. DIII reminds me of DUII which is definitely bad...maybe you should do some research and find a more artistic way to do it. Like make it look like something else but when you look closer it's a 503...I love clever tattoos!

Not stupid - ink is all in the eye of the beholder. You will be explaining the tatt to everyone you meet though. Most will assume it's a date...b'day or other memorable moment.
