Day pass for the Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas.?
I will be going to the Bahamas in 3 week on a curies and one of are stops is in Nassau i wanted to know if there is a day pass you can buy to be able to use the beach at the Atlantis Resort, I know the Cruise ship offers it to us however its $150. I was hoping that maybe someone knew where or if there was one for just the beach or a free pass... I would pretty much just want to use the beach....
Let me know if anyone has been and has any ideas.
thanks!

Atlantis sells day passes for $110 pp including the aqua park
Atlantis BEACH passes are $65pp and include only the west beach.
There are no free passes to atlantis, but the casino, lobbies and marina village shopping are open to the public. All the rest of the grounds, pools, beaches and exhibits are for guests only (or passes).
You can use the public beach on paradise island, which is just 400metes east of Atlantis by entering at the public pathway next to the RIU. You will not be allowed on Atlantis beach or property without a paid pass.
One note... the public beach has no amenities, no restroom, no lifeguards etc. and you cannot use the Atlantis or RUI facilities.
Renting a room at Atlantis or Comfort Suites for the day is sometimes the cheapest way to get full access to the property. Each room allows up to 4 paid/registered guests full access to Atlantis and the waterpark/ beach.
Dolphin Cay and other venues are charged seperately.
There are other beaches in the nassau area, both pubic and hotel beaches. ranging from free (public) to $25 (sheraton) $40 (Hilton and Wyndham with lunch), and $60 for Breezes.
These beaches are just as nice as the one that Atlantis sits on. and far less crowded.

Are you going alone or with others that would want to go to the beach too? We went on a cruise there 2 months ago and if you buy a night at the Days inn next door, you have access to everything at Atlantis. I don't remember exactly how much it was... either in the 1 or 2 hundreds. If you are going with a group that would be good!

Hi Sara:
Having stayed at the Atlantis several times, I noticed that cruise ship occupants can enter and use the beaches on Paradise Island with no problems. The hotel (Atlantis) and some of its areas are restricted to guests and should you start to enter one of these areas, an employee will very politely ask to see your room key and if you don't have one, will "politely" inform you that area of the hotel is reserved.
The beach can have pretty rough waves and undertow so......
be safe.
Enjoy.

Never buy anything on the cruise ship that you can get off the cruise ship. It will be twice the price. I live in Nassau and go to Atlantis once in a while, you can buy a pass for like $35 I believe but you can also go through the back way for free. If all you are interested in is going to the beach there is one you can go to for free within walking distance of the cruise ship.

Sara, if you are primarily interested in sun and sand, I recommend the area of Cable Beach over Paradise Island. Free! Plus gentler surf. RJ
