What was your favorite job (not career) you've had?

You know, like a job you did in school or something...

Mine was either working in a comic book store, or being a floor-guard at a skating rink (where I also ran go-karts on some days).

Update:

Dang, sai m reminded me of helping teach Sunday school, but that wasn't a paying job, so it doesn't count... otherwise I'd have to put that at the top. Those kids were awesome. :-)

Update 2:

Wow. No thank you to 12 hour jobs! I did that in Baghdad 7 days a week and got my fill after 16 months. I'm just fine with 8 (or less) lol.

Favorite job was probably one of the hardest jobs I had.

I worked in a bird seed factory... packaged bird seed bags into boxes to be shipped, made boxes to pack the seed in, learned to use the machine for sewing the big bags of seed... it was hard work and was 12 hours a night, but... I met a lot of different people, actually had fun doing those jobs with the people I met and think it wouldn't have been so bad, if it hadn't been 12 hours a night/ 6 days a week. I think one of the reasons I liked it so much was because it kept me busy. I don't like jobs that give me tons of time to be bored or are monotonous.

Real Estate Analyst....it was a made up title from the owner of the company. We wanted it to sound important. I worked there part time researching properties that his company could purchase. I also gave him other business ideas. It was fun but he said I was too "social" and told the other women in the office to stop talking to me when i went into the office. We talked anyway....just not while he was looking at us. LMAO I liked that job so much that I got a real estate license. It will expire in 2010 but I already have plans to take the two courses to keep the license current.

working in a toddler room in nursery....the babies were soooo cute!

    edit:

I later worked in pre school - the kids realy were a pain..I worked in the city centre manchester so all the parents were quite well off, some of those kids were spoilt rotten...1 kid always switched the light off, slapped my co worker in the face knocking her glasses off...he use to run in the closet to have a wee....when my co worker opened the door he had a spay with sanitizer in it spraying it on her face, she had glasses on, but he got her eye! He use to tell us to shut up aswel. and then there were other kids who were 'snotty', 1 of them told me she didnt like me because I wasn't white. omg!, I ended up leaving the nursery coz I was under so much stress..and it was at the worse time, just before xmas! I always say, never working with kids again! But I don't know.... Atleast you had a good experience....the kids behaviour and just how they are realy makes a difference, pre school were only 3-5 year old's - but still, they were a nightmare, you should hear some of my other stories, could go on and on lol! Anyway despite that kids were always a pleasure to be around, I think the tods I looked after were the best, They entertain you I suppose! Trying to walk, trying to speak etc, always a pleasure to be around for anyone I think! :).. working in pre school was a bad memory, seriously!! Want it erased!!!!

What I'm doing now : DJ work and hosting karaoke. Besides lugging the equipment in and out it's fun and highly profitable.

I worked in a drugstore at the tobacco and candy counter and enjoyed it. Also worked at a cafeteria. Good memories, simpler time.
