    AVG.

Always had a very positive experience with it, and it's free.

have you tried microsoft's security essentials? it's free. it automatically updates. and it automatically scans and cleans your pc - need some configuring, but it's a no brainer. what more do you want? i have been using it since it was a beta baby. now it is out for all.

my problem with avg is that it does not have a real time scanning, which you need in case you downloaded something. with msse, you just need to configure it to do a full scan daily or weekly. and it has a real-time scanning feature. it also scans usb sticks, again this feature needs configuring.

    never used avast.

avg because its free too use and well works well and doesnt make your system slow and norton is good but you need to purchase or try crack version... in other way all antivirus companies are good only thing you need update frequently for better performance and safety purpose

Anti-virus is about personal preferences. Some people would choose liability over speed. Other would go for ease of use. You can go here http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.co... and see which software is better at which categories and decide for yourself. :)
