Why is it that whenever its your party in charge, ecomonomics takes eight years?

You answered your own question. Clinton left the economy and national debt in the best shape since the 1950s. It took Bush about 6 years to destroy the economy by overspending (which is supposedly a Democrat thing) on a war he didn't even need. Bush's first 2 years were easy because he had a nice surplus to work with thanks to Clinton.

Obama may save or ruin the economy - I don't even care which - but since he's starting from rock bottom, it's reasonable to say it would take a while to climb out of that huge debt.

Geez, the numbers are obvious, you can look it up any time. Democrats may not cut taxes, but they put the money back into the country. Republicans don't spend any less (Bush actually spent more than any Democrat) but they dump all the money in rebuilding Iraq and paying Haliburton $50 per roll of toilet paper.

Why is it that Americans want Iraqis to have better health care than themselves?

Bush was handed a good economy. When things started going bad the republicans blamed Clinton.

Obama was not handed a good economy. The republicans want to blame Obama for what he inherited.
