2 AnswersHorses1 decade agoWhy is it that whenever its your party in charge, ecomonomics takes eight years?
When Bush was in charge and the economy went badly, all the democrats blamed him, and republicans said, "it is clintons fault, policies take eight years (a convenient number by the way) to impact the economy" Now that a Democrat is in charge those same republicans are blaming Obama while the dems get to us the "eight years" bs. can we just start a third party already of people who don't see the world as black and white?
4 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShould fat people and smokers have to pay more for insurance?
Obesity and smoking are the largest modifiable risk factor that costs billions per year. That is money spent on conditions caused by that individual's choices.
Do you think they should have to pick up part of the increased tab of caring for them?

7 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoDid you know that you pay approximately $600 for smoking related healthcare?
Still think you aren't already paying for someone else's care? That is the average tax burden for each household from medcaid/medicare for illnesses caused by smoking alone.

4 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoIs the MRAP replacing all Humvees?
It seems to me that the Humvess are still cheaper and probably more fuel efficient and quite suitable for use on bases and in battle where IEDs are not being used.

At least so far anyway. I am all for giving them until September, but the administration has been painting a picture that isn't really true. Maybe it will work, but to say it has been so far is basically lying
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoNed Yost and the Brewers?
Is it time to let him go if the Brewers keep sliding like this? he just doesn't seem to be able to rally the troops. I say either the team makes the playoffs or he can start searching the want ads. I am tired of the disappointments.

6 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShouldn't we plan ahead?
Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia was one of 11 GOP lawmakers who met with Bush and his top aides Tuesday afternoon.
"We asked them what's Plan B," Davis said. "We let them know that the status quo is not acceptable." Davis said the president responded that if he began discussing a new strategy, his current one never would have a chance to succeed.
what kind of military commander refuses to plan ahead? Bush refuses to make plans in case his current strategy fails. I'm not arguing against the war or for it, but how it is handled. How can anyone make the same mistake so many times? He assumed Iraq would surrender and celebrate us as liberators, and when that didn't happen we didn't have a backup plan. After four years his big stategy shift is to simply throw more troops at the problem. Fine, but what if that fails? we are without a paddle. Why does he refuse to plan for what can happen?
