What kind of things do you eat for Thanksgiving Dinner?

Just curious of some things other people might have. I am planning the dinner this year for my family to include about 16 people and didn't want to have the same old things.

Here's my favorite recipe that goes great with turkey and everyone always asks for the recipe, or they ask me to bring it for pot luck dinners. Try it

    Green Bean Casserole:

    3 tbs butter, melted

    2 tbs flour

    1 tsp salt

    1/4 tsp pepper

    1 tsp sugar

    1 cup sour cream

    1/2 tsp grated onion

24 oz of frozen green beans, cooked

    1/2 lb grated cheddar cheese

    1/2 cup corn flakes(crumbs)

Combine 2 tbs butter and flour and cook gently. Remove from heat, then stir in seasonings and sour cream.

    Fold in green beans.

Place in 2 qt casserole dish. Cover with cheese.

Mix remaining butter with corn flake crumbs. Spread over casserole.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Note: Suggest mixing in about one-half of cheese with beans and use remaining as a topping.

Along with the traditional Turkey, dressing and cranberry sauce, sometimes we have chicken and dumplings, banana pudding and dutch apple pie.
