Traveling for Christmas. How do I make it special for my kids?

My step-daughter is 6 and my boys are 3 and 9 months. We will be leaving on December 16th to travel by car from NC to OK and then down to TX and then up to IA. We will be in a hotel on the night of the 24th. What are some good ideas to make Christmas special for my kids? I am not really worried about the boys because they are still so young and the 3 year old doesn't really understand Santa. We make Christmas more about Jesus than Santa. But, my 6 year old step-daughter is all about getting presents. Even if we tell her that Santa left all her gifts at our home and at her mom's home, I still think that they should have something to open on Christmas morning. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, and have a wonderful holiday season.

with the kids, say a prayer at bedtime, and in a subtle way, get the kids to pray for the actual gift you will give them. When they go to sleep, leave the gifts near a window, that way, you can say Jesus and Santa heard their prayers and santa must have come through the window and left the goodies that they prayed for.

My mom did that to me when I was 7 or 8. Wow, was I excited.

confident Puerto Rico is the funnest place to bypass throughout the time of christmas. there are a number of christmas events rather in San Juan the capital. do no longer worry there is often something to do in Puerto Rico.
