my advice would be to get only one to start with. that way you can see if u can handle it. then mayb a few months down the road you can consider another.

You ask for a FAST answer but don't explain what your urgency is. cheez!

If you were afraid of dogs, is all that fear suddenly gone now? What have you done to get over it?

If you aren't sure if you'd be able to handle them, then the answer is don't get the dogs, as you are NOT knowledgeable enough to know how to handle the dogs. You didn't even tell us how old the dogs are. It's also a BAD idea to get 2 dogs for your first experience as a dog owner, ESPECIALLY when you're TOTALLY LACKING in any kind of knowledge on how to train and care for a dog. -!-

I have to agree with the other people.Start off with one.Have you checked into the breed??I hope you are active because they are.Two at once without ever having a dogie??It would be like an instant set of twins and never having a child. Are your hormones in tact??Do you have an empty nest syndrome??Too much of anything at once will put you down.Trust me.Labs need a lot.Have you ever walked a dogie??That would be fun to watch. After about two days I think you'll be sitting on your floor crying because they ate your couch.LoL.I would be truly asking myself why??Like someone said it is a life commitment. Are you ready to have your life turn around a 360??I would be reading as much as I can about Labs. They are big, strong, happy go lucky, and of course very loyal. They sure are sweet but a cupcake is too.I think you should go for a little bit smaller dogie.Labs can be a little overpowering like a bull in a china shop.I'm not saying not to ever get one but for your first dogie and with you just getting over fear of dogies a more gentle dogie is what I would recommend.

Two dogs at once for someone who was afraid of dogs, NOT. One maybe if you are sure you can keep one and do all the work involved including pay for proper vet care. But if in doubt, don't get either until you are absolutely sure you can handle one. Getting a dog isn't a whim. It's a lifetime commitment.

yes get something a little easier, they are both easy friendly breeds but high energy. One dog you can handle but give yourself at least a few months to make sure you are up to it. It is a lot of work and a major commitment. They deserve your best. Go through a reputable breeder one who wont mind worried calls and giving you advice. if you post your state i would be happy to recommend a few for those breeds.

I would suggest getting ONE older Lab from breed rescue. Discuss your concerns and they will be able to find the right dog for you. Labs are gentle, easy to train dogs but getting an older, calmer slightly used dog will make it easier. DO not start out with two dogs. They will bond with each other and not with you.

If you've never experienced a dog before then you need to only get one. BTW labs only come in yellow (not golden), black or chocolate colors.

i would suggest you adopt an adult lab that is trained in basic obedience rather then a puppy since you have no experience with training.

You afraid of dogs? Are you crazy? Dog's take you're lead. If you're afraid, your pet's afraid, you're both stressed out and unhappy. It would be extremely irresponsible of you to get a dog, much less TWO. Dog's may be cute, but you're obviously not ready for any for a looong time. Drop the idea, dig a hole, and bury it.

you're able to desire to end giving your dogs human nutrition-she is a dogs-her digestive device and her dietary (nutrition)standards are very different from yours and you're making her ill. dogs are carniverous they choose meat(cooked) to be healthful, in different words dogs nutrition. The ranch dip fritos and end result are puzzling for the digestive device to digest for no longer made for those form of ingredients.
