Is Chargers QB Philip Rivers a top 5 QB yet?
What do you think? I know that they were calling Rivers a top 10 QB a few weeks ago. But after some of these great SD wins and seeing Rivers show off his arm. Would you call Phil Rivers a top 5 QB now?
Personally, this is my top 5 order:
1- P. Manning
2- T. Brady
3- B. Roslesburger (sp?)
4- P. Rivers
5- B. Farve
then come drew brees kurt warner and so on.
steak2286. you think i would base a players ability to play on 1 game? honestly? look as his performance on the past 5 games, all Ws btw. todays win, imo, tops it off and shows how consistent his talent? really, who bases something on 1 game? you might, but i dont.

I think that Petyon Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Kurt Warner are all definitely better than Rivers, and Roethelisberger might be, so if he's not top 5 he's top 6.

HEllz YES he had the most thrown yards last year and i think that brett farve is number 3 philp is number 5 and rosleiburger shouldnt be on it. yeah yeah you can argue he doesnt have a superbowl win but. He hasnt had a steelers defense SO yeah i consider him up there.ANd latley rivers has average 2 or 3 touchdowns a game and where is drew brees i say drew brees takes over at nuber 4

Yeah I 'd love to have him on my team. I like your list however I think it is a top 7. I'd have a hard time deciding on who to leave out. Of course you can use the "who has a ring" argument. But I don't know who I'd leave out. I also would add Mc. Nabb, he has never really had any good receivers to throw to.
It is nice to see all of the great QB play in the NFL. I think Rivers has a ton of talent, and with a little luck can win a few superbowls during his career
