a famous convicted computer hacker lives in my city...?

Just learned that not only does a famous federally-convicted computer hacker live in my city, but that we also know him personally. Does anyone know if the justice department continues to monitor convicted hackers? Do they have people checking their computer use and activity?

    Depends on the conditions of his parole.

    But known former hackers usually find jobs as security consultants and are no longer a threat.

    Most hackers will Stay anonymous when surfing, hacking. If hes convicted they probably are monitoring his pc, through his ISP.
