What the best type of bed for my new pup?
I just got another puppy to go with my three border terriers, my akita and my cavalier king charles spaniel. She is a Scottish deerhound called Darcy and I was wondering, just because they have longer legs, does that mean they have to get a soft bed, plastic bed or a wicker bed. Or does it not make a difference?
If you are going to recommend anything, it has to be available in Scotland

A soft bed to protect her joints - deerhounds are very much like greyhounds, not much meat on their bones so they need a soft bed.

Congrats on the new puppy. I agree, use old blankets for now and then after a few days if she doesn't chew on those, I would try just a crate pad with blankets for a few months and then get her a nice permanent bed. Anything that fits her size will be fine.

any bed that is comfortable and fits your dog would be fine
but since your dog is a puppy, you should let her sleep on some old blankets or a cheap bed for now cuz many puppies like to chew on their beds, but after that get any bed you like:)
good luck with her:)
