Is this not illegal....?

Isn't it illegal for Joe Lieberman to say he will not allow a final vote unless public option is off the bill?

He is pretty crafty old geeser all right. Got elected despite losing the primary to Lamont, comes back as Independent, gets all the Republicans to vote him in because he is a big defense spender. The Dems should show some balls and kick him off committees. He is a Benedict Arnold.

But he it is in our system to filibuster, prevent votes and all that gibberish. Lieberman is a Republican in Democratic clothing.

Nothing is illegal until a law is written and passed. Our congressmen and senators can say anything to bend, mangle and dangle anything to create or dismiss a bill or proposed law. What irks me are the hidden trailers they have attached to these bills that become law or funding for things that should no be.

Uh, noooooo. The last time I checked, Obama hasn't done away with the Bill of Rights (freedom of speech) or the Constitution (Rules for the Senate and House for passing laws) YET. But give him time, he's working on it.

Politicians can say anything and usually do. Its called the First Amendment rights. They have them too and you have the right to vote them out of office if they don't do what you think they should be doing.

I don't listen to Lieberman. He is a former Democrat who couldn't make up his mind which side he was on, then switched to Independent and still don't f*****g know which side the bastard is on.

No it's not illegal. It's one of those powers that goes with his position. There are ways around it, but it's all politics.
