Anyone else think Green Day sucks now?

Loved them in the 90's, dookie was one of the greatest albums of all time. Bullet in A Bible wasn't TOO bad, some of the songs were ok. But I can't stand the new stuff.

WAL-MART STOPPED SELLING 21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN BECAUSE THEY THINK THAT IT HAS TOO BAD OF A MEANING. Lost their punk-edge? I don't think so.

"Sob-story crap showing up on their records like BOBD and WMUWSE"???? Wake Me Up When September Ends is about Billie Joe's dead father. How would you like it if your father died and you were sad so you wrote a song about it and some kid started bashing you because it "wasn't punk enough"???

Green Day doesn't suck.

They're just doing what they think is best for them, and if you were a real Green Day fan, you'd like ALL of Green Day's songs and albums, both old and new.

I'm not a big fan of that genre so I can't judge it, but I like "Wake me up".. when their last album came out they became pretty popular and there were several hits. But they're mostly a highly publicized band, just like Nickelback. The only punk song I can remember liking is "God Save the Queen" by Sex Pistols. Good song.

Of course their older songs were better, but as they get older, the music has to change. Songs like 'Longview' (about masturbation) tends to be the subject of songs when musicians are young, but not when they are in their mid-thirties. The same thing happens with all bands all start off young. Their music has to mature at some stage, and this is Green Days'. The music is still good, however, their best, classic songs are those on 'International Superhits'.

If you don't like the music, don't listen to it, nobody is forcing you to.

I liked both Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Wake Me Up When September Ends. And just because their music is available in retail stores doesn't make them any less punk because last time I checked punk did not equal saying "f*** this b****" in every other lyric.

If you want that, I suggest you go to the Rap section of your local music shop.

a punk song doesn't have to have a hole bunch of bad words in it, it just has to rock hard!!!!

I love every single one of Green days songs no matter what, that's what a fan is a person who will stick by there band no matter what, through thick and thin!!!!!

Green Day doesn't need a fan like you....go like a different band!!!!

I miss Brain Stew, Burnout, Basket Case, and even Minority... Now we have the emo "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", and "Oh Love".
