Dodge stealth speedometer erratic, need some help.?

I have a 92 Dodge Stealth with only 14K on it, it sits a lot. I drove it the other day and the speedo would not go over 20mph, or it stayed at zero. It worked perfectly in august and now it is erratic. Any suggestions why?

    try if you want but maybe the needle is stuck sometimes if you tap on it, it will start working if not it is Polly in the cable that goes to the tranny
