Why do republicans criticize Obama for trying to create jobs through the stimulus and...?

care for the sick, injured, and dying through health reform? I didn't realize these were such capital offenses. He is clearly and evil, evil man.

There was no stimulus. Bush gave tax cuts to the rich. But Obama cut out the paper work and just gave the rich the money.

Because they knew from the start that his stimulus wouldn't work, and the data shows they were right. The stimulus is based on discredited Keynsian economics. When the stimulus was being debated, Obama said it was critical to pass the stimulus immediately because we were facing an economic crisis. Economic adviser Larry Summers said the impact would be almost immediate. Obama promised that if the stimulus passed, unemployment wouldn't go over 8%, it is now at 10.2%. Most of the stimulus is just pork barrel spending and payoffs to unions and states that Obama wants, and has received, support from.

His health reforms will make health care more expensive, lower quality and actually less available. That has been the case everywhere government health care has been implemented. When Medicare was introduced in 1966 is was estimated to cost $12 Billion inflation adjusted annually by 1990. The actual 1990 cost? $107 Billion. Please see the youtube video below for Robert Reich's explanation of the truth of health care reform. Reich is an Obama adviser and liberal Democrat.

Is Obama evil? I don't know. He is at best misguided. I don't think he's an idiot, so you have to wonder if he is intentionally trying to harm our country. Obama believes in wealth redistribution, and has disdain for the wealthy. That includes wealthy individuals, wealthy corporations, and wealthy countries. I believe his policies are designed to remedy what he sees as the problem of unequal distribution of wealth among all three categories. That's not good news for America.

The goals of Obama are not in question, only the methods. Republicans want people to have jobs and they want people to have access to decent health care. However, the method by which Obama has sought to reach those goals are very damaging to the majority of the people of this country. If you have been paying attention to what the Republicans have said regarding their suggestion on how to improve health care and the economy, then you should already know that they are not against it. More than 800 amendments were placed before the House of representatives by the Republicans in an effort to change the direction of the health care reform bill but each and every one was voted down by the Democrats. In the Senate version, the bill was written behind closed doors WITHOUT Republican input. That is not the way that congress is supposed to work. The responsibility is supposed to be shared, not one sided only.

If the bill that will soon be coming up for debate is passed by the Senate and then passed once again by the House so that it becomes law, people are still going to die...but it won't be because they were uninsured as the Democrats have told us so many times before...but will be because a panel of individuals will be responsible for determining which procedures and tests will be allowed for any given health problem and those determinations will be based on costs, not health needs. This bill if passed into law will remove the choice from the doctors and patients (unless the patient is willing and able to pay for the extra procedure themself). This bill if passed will not be budget neutral as is claimed but will grow out of control within twenty years. The figures provided by the CBO are accurate...but those figures are based on collecting money the first four years then collecting money and paying claims for the next six. Of course it looks good...but what about the ten years following. Once that early taxation is eating up (which it will be within year eleven), the system will go the same way Medicare and Medicaid has gone. Either everyone will end up paying substantially higher taxes or benefits will be lowered.....which will bring us right back to where we started from. No one will be able to afford to pay for health care, not even a public option...and no one will receive good quality health care except the very rich.

Also, once claims start coming in, the Feds only will fund the first two years then pass those costs on to the states. (public option). Then, the states will be forced to raise taxes to pay for the mandated program and Obama can make the claim that HE did not raise taxes.

Look a little further rather than just on the surface. His stimulus created some very temporary jobs to build a section of highway, repair a bridge, etc. The bail outs were to keep credit open to keep the gears moving but they were not lending to millions of small businesses which employ the biggest majority of working people. I'm not sure if they are yet.

The health care proposals are very controlling and will cost the majority of American people even more for their health care, not less. They claim their bill will reduce the deficit but they don't want to mention the separate $220 billion bill that is meant to pay the difference between what doctors receive from Medicare/Medicaid so they can stay in business due to the increase of Medicaid by 133%. Adding that bill (rightly so) would take the bill into deficit spending. Add to the higher cost of your health insurance premium, higher taxes. Now remember that the government is going to decide what ALL insurance companies will cover and what they won't. If you disagree, who are you going to argue with?

There are too many negative repercussions of a government take over of health care to go into on this board but you must realize that at this time 56% of Americans are against it. Not because they are evil, but because they have read up on what this bill will do to America.

Do you know that any person in this country can go to the emergency room?

Do you know that reid said his healthcare plan will cover 96% of Americans? That leave 12 million not covered...I thought the idea was to cover everyone.

Where are the jobs he has created? Don't you find it worrisome that if he has created or saved jobs, then why is unemployment over 10%? Have you looked at some of the jobs created? And what good is a job that is temporary? We need jobs the produce something that will bring money into this country. Jobs in manufacturing or farming. Jobs like unions and welfare offices are parasitic.

He is doing things that any dictator in the USSR would have done. If you want to imply that others think that is evil, so be it. Your corrupt government has run us $106 Trillion in debt. That means you and every other man, woman and child owes $330,000 dollars. And they clowns are still spending more. Can you understand what that means?

Exactly how many real jobs were created from the stimulus? You can't go by Obama's numbers because they are made up with no legitimate data to back up his claims. His stimulus was pork projects for those who voted for him and didn't create the jobs he said. If you remember, he said unemployment would not go over 8% if we passed the plan. It is now over 10%.

health care reform will not create any jobs. It will cause more people to be laid off by companies who can't absorb the additional costs of the regulations of the plan.

Obama is not evil. He's just an inexperienced idealist who doesn't think things through before speaking. He also is depending on very corrupt people to advise him.

His goals are truly lovely (if indeed creating jobs and care for the sick, injured and dying are indeed his goals. The execution of his plans to meet those goals is poor. As the executive he is charged with the responsibility to ensure that the plans are executed to the best of the government's ability. He is failing at that.

The stimulus ended up not creating jobs but merely funneling money to political supporters of Obama specifically and the Democrats more generally. In essence it was a raid on the treasury of the United States to send money to Democratic constituency groups.

Health care reform remains more ephemeral as the House and Senate bills have different funding mechanisms but it is clear that the goal is to provide the government with much more control over the choices we, as citizens, have concerning the types of care we will receive and the availability of effective, efficient (for us, not the government) treatment. Certainly the fuss over the mammogram guidelines needs to be seen within this light.

I do not feel that Obama is an evil man. I do feel that he is misguided about the ability of the government to perform the tasks necessary to meet the needs of our country and I feel that he is really just a political hack trying to ensure his party's success, even at the expense of our country. If you are in his party his actions will seem wonderful. I am an independent and therefore will not receive the "front of the line treatment" from any stimulus or health care reform. As a result, I do not see that his actions will help me, but yet I will pay for them in many ways.

Uh, what jobs exactly is he creating? Do you listen or read any news cause if you did you'd realize that every day more and more people are loosing them. The few he 'created' are temporary less than a month for the most part and it is jobs like construction which doesn't do squat for the general population and who has money to build anyways. He is sitting on 85% of that stimulus while the rest of the country's jobs are going down the drain every week. Check out the latest unemployment figures and realize a lot of people no longer are counted cause their unemployment has run out.

The stimulus gave money to companies which could have long previous bankrupt because they had unsustainable corporation fashions. Who cares if there's a advent of a miniscule quantity of jobs via a stimulus software if the unemployment value would not drop? If Obama needed everybody to get a job, he'd shrink EPA regulations and shrink the minimum salary. those 2 issues on my own could create thousands and thousands of jobs. EPA (environmental) regulations do no longer help. they seem to be a great concept, inspite of the undeniable fact that that's finished bullcrap. as quickly as we've great strict standards and import products from worldwide places without standards because of the fact that's extra value-effective, we are no longer saving the ecosystem in any respect. that's not such as you may localize pollutants and keep it out via no longer producing the products on your u . s . a .. the international has one ecosystem. the two tax imports to hell, which will enhance U.S. jobs. Or do away with the EPA standards which sidestep our refining industry (then you definitely will see the value of gas bypass way down). yet does he do the two? needless to say no longer. -- once you are going to thumbs down, supply a rebuttal. because of the fact if no longer, you're in basic terms being a enthusiast.

well, you got part of it right...he IS clearly an evil evil man. John Foster Dulles said it best, "the business of america is BUSINESS." in other words, BUSINESS creates jobs government doesnt and the way to embolden an economy is NOT with confiscatory taxation and failed social welfare schemes.

we criticize obama for justified reasons. first, marxism doesnt work. this country was not founded on ridiculous socialism as obamacare clearly is. why, for example, if its such a wonderful program are federal employees exempt from it??? next, why fine a family for simply opting out. i have fine health insurance and am far from rich. i found an old fashioned way to take care of the problem...I GOT A JOB!!!

and as far as the stimulus goes, tell me, pray tell, have you ever seen anyone borrow their way to prosperity. clearly this is the way we called it in the primaries: an empty suit with no experience in the office trying to act the part.

again, this criticism is for a reason, marxism as his policies are, doesnt work and you will see that dissatisfaction clearly in '10 and'12.

And you are clearly a clueless one.

First there were NEXT TO NO JOBS - created... while 5 Million were LOST after the "stimulus" was enacted.

Secondly the "HEALTH REFORM" that Obama speaks of - will be more expensive - decrease the standard of care for ALL Americans (except Congress)... will give OBAMA control of 1/6 more of the economy and the WORST thing - put GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRATS in charge of Medical Decisions.. as well as taking MY TAX money - A lot more of it... and using it to PAY FOR PEOPLE who won't pay for their own.

We criticize NOT for the TRYING... but for TRYING by heading AMERICAN in the direction that benefits HIM and his EMPIRE... not AMERICA and her Citizens.
