Help. What does these 2 Hebrew Israeli letters say? Can someone translate to English please?

Your letter of 8/1 (eight of January) looked more like a poem than prose, thanks, of course, to the inspiration Roma (the name is not very clear) had been bestowed upon.

I don't understand you question, "what about the television?" The trip plans (to Wales) have been cancelled because the weather was not satisfactory, and we had a visitor from Paris (a friend of mine) for a short break.

We went travelling around London, and saw places we haven't visited before (although they are very near to us) and we enjoyed it very much. We cooked good meals and rested a lot.

We sent a telegram to Yael on 7/1 for their wedding anniversary, but haven't received any reply so we don't know if they had received it or not.

We are waiting impatiently for Yael to give birth, and jump to the sound of each unexpected phone ring.

All are plush toys are leaving in peace and they are all guarded by Eeyore, because he his hung the highest. We had bought two small carpets coloured dark purple and put them near the bed. They add a lot to the room. It is very nicely arranged now, because we threw away some boxes and unnecessary stuff.

I kindly ask you to find out when is the time to register to the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem universities, how we can get the registration form and if the English exam that Gideon took awhile ago is still valid today and he has no problems enrolling. Gideon goes every night to an English course and getting along very nicely. We both read English most of the time and it's alright.

This is not a very good letter, but at least it provides some information.

This is a personal letter from two Israelis (probably a couple) who live in London to the guy's parents. They write about their day-to-day life and ask about friends or family in Israel.

Edit: very cool (note the date, it's from 1970)! The final line says "it's not much of a great letter but at least you got some information" :-)
