The most important is the true beauty.
It's sad, but today you can buy external beauty. People can get make up, or go the doctor.
But no one can change internal beauty, that is what matters.

How about the effect of having a healthy mind and spirit on the body? Holistic medicine knows that the three (body, mind and spirit) are all inter-related, so people with peace in their heart and other qualities of internal beauty are healthier, so might age much more gracefully.

First, your question should be WHETHER beauty is internal or external :)
Beauty is internal because a person who has an arrogant or otherwise undesirable personality becomes unattractive to your eyes the more you encounter them.
