What is the root cause of sexual masochism?
I haven't been able to find a very defined answer on this question and I was wondering.

A combination of acute psychological masochism (when someone finds pain sexually stimulating), "pervertedness", sexual fantasies, and a bit of creativity. Hence bondage is created.

more research is needed, my own experiments suggest that in a hyper aroused state the normal pain response is perceived as pleasure.
