Does anyone think Dick Cheney's opinions have any value?

He keeps showing up on TV, bashing the President about his decision regarding sending more troops to Afghanistan. What does Cheney know? He made some really bad decisions about Iraq and WMD's and he has no military experience. Matter of fact, he had five (5) deferments!

Update:

I'm admittedly biased because he has a "mean streak" a mile wide. He conned Americans about the war and, his patronizing attitude, which seems typical of a war-profiteering oil-man, galls me!

He needs to shut up and get the hell out. He did enough damage in 8 yrs. He talks about Obama's inexperience, while the same Generals advised him and he made no decision on Afghanistan. He needs to disappear.

What does he know? He knows 9/11 was an inside job. He knew all along that Iraq didn't have WMD's, the bush administration wasn't dumb, they were deceitful. The story is leaking so he needs to do some back tracking. Hollywood knew about 9/11 long before it happened. Kurt Cobain even had it written backwards on a T-shirt on the front of one of his albums long before it happened. Wonder if he committed suicide or not now. The only defense they have is to call people "conspiracy theorist". Its the oldest trick in the book, attack the messenger and stay away from the facts of the message.

So to answer your question, heck no his opinion doesn't mean anything, and don't put your hopes in Obama either.

and if you think im crazy, google '9/11 in hollywood' and tell me how many times the date sep 11 2001 has to show up before 9/11 for it not considered to be a coincidence, 5,6,7

The matrix came out before 9/11, and neo's passport has the date sep. 11, 2001 for just one ex. but thats probably just a coincidence. what is that movie about again? being a mind slave?

Also makes me wonder about the time he shot someone in the face. But i guess im the wierd one for thinking about it.

Well...unless you are a brain-dead Liberal, it wouldn't take much to recognize that Cheney has more executive experience in his little finger, than Obama does in his whole Community Organizing body. So...we are supposed to take the word of a Socialist Community Activist over someone with a REAL resume???

As for his deferments...Liberals fled for the border in Canada by the thousands. So spare us the righteous indignation! And by the way...what branch of the service did Obama serve in that makes him qualified to be Commander-in-Chief???

Thanks for showing yet again what a pious, sanctimonious, hypocritical Liberal looks like!!!!!!!

Richard Bruce "Dick" Cheney[1] (born January 30, 1941) served as the 46th Vice President of the United States from 2001 to 2009 in the administration of George W. Bush. He briefly served as Acting President of the United States on two occasions during which Bush underwent medical procedures.

He began his political career as an intern for Congressman William A. Steiger, eventually working his way into the White House during the Nixon and Ford administrations, where he served the latter as White House Chief of Staff. In 1978, Cheney was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Wyoming; he was reelected five times, eventually becoming House Minority Whip. Cheney was selected to be the Secretary of Defense during the presidency of George H. W. Bush, holding the position for the majority of Bush's term. During this time, Cheney oversaw the 1991 Operation Desert Storm, among other actions.

In 1989, The Washington Post writer George C. Wilson interviewed Cheney as the next Secretary of Defense; when asked about his deferments, Cheney reportedly said, "I had other priorities in the '60s than military service."[16] Cheney testified during his confirmation hearings in 1989 that he received deferments to finish a college career that lasted six years rather than four, owing to sub par academic performance and the need to work to pay for his education. Initially, he was not called up because the Selective Service System was only taking older men. When he became eligible for the draft, he applied for four deferments in sequence. He applied for his fifth exemption on January 19, 1966, when his wife was about 10 weeks pregnant. He was granted 3-A status, the "hardship" exemption, which excluded men with children or dependent parents. In January 1967, Cheney turned 26 and was no longer eligible for the draft.

Obama appointed Gen. McChrystal, not Cheney.

Gen. McChrystal requested 40,000 additional troops almost 4 months ago, not Cheney.

Obama disregards the advice of Gen. McChrystal who has spent his entire adult life in the studying war, not Cheney.

Obama made a political decision - based upon his desire to pass 'health care reform' and not have that interferered with by having to placate his uber-liberal base with the war in Afghanistan. Obama politicized a military matter, not Cheney.

No matter what you think of Cheney, Obama is the one f'ing over our troops, not Cheney.

And you know what else? The troops know and trust Cheney, not Obama.

  • When Cheney talks, democrats quiver. He gets more press coverage over one sentence than Obama after a full month touring the late night shows.
