First, it's not Obama's plan. Although he offered a few ideas, he asked the legislative branch to create and pass health care reform, and he will simply sign it when it reaches his desk. He has been very hands-off (much to the chagrin of many liberal-progressives), and has stated that any reform is good reform. That means he'll sign it if it doesn't have universal coverage (ie. a public option).

To answer your quesitons, because Obama will sign anything that reaches his desk, he doesn't need a Plan B. Congress will keep revising it until all the real reform is eliminated, and when Obama signs it, he will say that he met his campaign promise to reform health care. If it's not a great bill, it's not his fault. It will not stick to him as a failure like it did for the Clintons in the nineties. Good politics.

Meanwhile, forty million Americans with no health care are suffering from treatable conditions because they don't have enough money to pay their doctor. Sad.

Probably to ban pessimistic retards like you from public websites, like Yahoo Answers. You know, I don't understand why everybody's still bashing him after he's experienced presidency for almost a year now. He really hasn't done anything wrong. He's been doing much better than that George Bush crony and his pet McCain. If I asked you right now, "How, so far, has he negatively impacted America?" You'd probably studder a few times with the frequent "umm" and conclude with Guantanamo Bay. (Which btw, just so you know, wasn't the act of him releasing terrorists into the wild. Someone told me that today and I wanted to slap him based on his incompetence, like all conservatives). Then, I'd contradict you, and you'd cry yourself to sleep, end of story. But with all seriousness, he's been benefiting this nation in ways you couldn't comprehend. And just because you're too feeble minded to read the healthcare plan and form a logical opinion doesn't mean that it's going to devastate our economy. You're just assuming that since 99% of your conservative friends disagree with the health plan and it has too many words for you that it's automatically a "bad" thing. Just based on the accomplishments Obama's already achieved, there's almost no doubt that the health care's gonna be a success.

inner maximum marketplace won't be able to compete with a monopoly. government purposes outdoors the area of earnings. They usurp their money. think of if government might open up Gov't Meats suitable next to Outback Steakhouse and sell fillet Mignon for a greenback. which could positioned Outback out of corporation leaving Gov't Meats simply by fact the only steakery. then you definitely'll could settle for rotten spoiled rationed meats paid for by utilising forcibly removing wealth from effective adult males. do no longer fool your self. while have you ever properly-known government to do something properly?

    GOVERNMENT OPTION

Let's throw around funny names that we know to poll less well because we are cynical and realize that Americans are stupid enough to like a thing when it is called one thing but not another.

Regardless of your word choice error, the mechanism you are referring to is called the PUBLIC OPTION, the plan is not doomed to fail, it is in fact probably favored in a toss up, if not a stronger lean. If the public option does not pass, they will pass a bill with something cooperatives and the rest of the bill intact, leaving us paying more, until congress is sensible enough to pass a public option.

If plan A is reconciliation we won't need plan B. Fifty votes and Joe Biden.

He will be dead by then, because that date will occur under our children and grandchildren, but we must set in stone the people to thank for their debt and disaster.

Why do you think it's not taking effect until 2013? So he can get elected for a 2nd term.
