Is Windows XP better or Windows 7?

Ok Windows 7 is what Vista was supposed to be. XP is better hands down only because it's time tested. Windows 7 is gearing up to be probably one of the best Windows versions to date.

Why?

Because they did the job right this time. Vista was a very pretty Operating System as is "7", But 7 runs like XP. In Windows 7, Microsoft put the toys back where they belonged. Vista users probably all shared in the "Where the heck is it" state of mind when trying to preform even the most basic of tasks. In Vista, Microsoft tried to redesign the wheel thinking that a circle wasn't the best shape for a wheel. In Windows "7" they quickly reverted back to the old cirlce.

Windows 7 uses only 1 gigbyte of RAM and Processor power. It's much lighter on video demand than it's predocessor. Windows Vista was a complete system resources hog. 7 runs on aything that ran XP with-in reason.

In Windows XP and Vista they have multiple versions and ya had the exact right kind in order to re-install. In windows "7" all versions are on the same CD and the CD Key dictates what flavor is installed regardless of 32bit or 64bit, Basic, Premium, and Ultimate editions.

I'd say YES, go ahead an do the upgrade. You will find that Windows 7 is extremely stable, easy on the computer, and very good with program compatability. Something Vista was problematic with starting from conception.

Window 7

Windows 7 is clearly better than Windows Vista. It's basically an enhanced version of Vista that runs better.

Windows 7 is new, so it is buggier than XP is at the moment. In the long run, it is more secure and has better features than XP. XP still runs faster

I'll give you a star just for asking this question.... I had XP and got a Vista... Vista is junk, wish I had my XP back, at least it worked. I have looked at Windows 7 and must say it looks better than vista. Just wish I had a better answer.

How big is your RAM? Needs to be 2GB to run Vista smoothly.

Windows XP is old Windows (2002) for which Microsoft support will soon cease

Many of us have been running Vista for two years now without any problems

I found it to be definatly better than vista. just so you know for when you get your cd, save all your stuf to cd/pen drive/ another computer and do a full clean install because when I did the upgrade the computer was very slow and at time worse than vista, but when I did a full clean install it was very fast.

Me: Vista open firefox

Vista: ............ FireFox is now open

Me: 7 open FireFox

7: .FireFox is now open

Windows XP is friendly to use. And Windows 7 is faster, but is harder to use. So what do you want? A Fast OS? Or A Friendly OS?

its not vista thats slow

have you cleaned and defraged you system

maybe more ram and a better gc

if after that you system is slow go back to xp or upgrade to a better modal

I haven't used Win7 yet, but I would guess it is better. Everyone says it's way better than Vista.

u must try windows 7 just go for it if u dont like it then use xp becoz it is evergreen and for more visit
