Microsoft Office program on macbook pro ?

I currently use a pc, and I have been thinking about switching over to a mac. I've heard amazing things about macs, and how people on macs would never switch back to using a pc. However, I'm a bit reluctant to switch over, because of the word program on macs. I tried using a friend's, and I found it confusing, and it seems like its easier to use Microsoft Office programs on pc's. My friend told me that she adores her mac, and wouldn't go back to a pc, but she normally uses her PC at home when dealing with microsoft office programs. Has anyone had experience with both ? Do you think that the microsoft programs on macs are as good as using it on a pc?

Personally, I think Office applications on Macs are in many ways superior to their Windows counterparts. After all, Microsoft Office is a Mac application that was ported to Windows and has features not yet found in the Windows version - even Office 2010.

The Office interface on the Mac is quite different from the PC. For example, the Mac has Project Gallery - a powerful feature that's not in Windows. See it in this iTunes podcast:

You might want to check out the Elements Gallery - another Mac only feature shown in this podcast:

If you do go with Mac Office, you might want to purchase my book.
