Disregarding the actions of some Christians, Why do some people hate Jesus?

No one hates Jesus but some people have been so abused by Christians and the distortions of some Christian theology that they can't hear about Jesus without remembering bad religion and needing to resist, mock, blaspheme against it. Jesus knows not to take it personally. Jesus probably does a little of that himself to avenge himself against Christians--why else would he subject them to ridicule by appearing on so many cement walls and tortillas?

Because when asked about Jesus Christan's use the bible as an actual reference for Jesus' existence. If you actually read the bible and can realize that all the accounts written about jesus are from a third person view you'll understand why the "hatred of jesus" comes about. A fictional character raining on my social life parade is not cool. That's equivalent to the Power Rangers ruining my night at the club. There is no judgement in facts.

I think correct in saying that people should do this, but it is not realistic. I don't watch certain movies because I know there are certain actors in it that I don't like. I judge the movie without ever seeing it and this is what people do with everything. Christians are called to become 'all things to all men', as Paul said. Read 1 Corinthians 9 and you'll see what he is talking about. He became weak that he might gain the weak. He obeyed the Jewish customs that he might gain Jews and he ate with the gentiles that he might gain them as well.

I have never encountered anyone who hates Jesus. Can you show us some examples?

If you're insinuating that atheists have never read the Bible, you need to know that reading the Bible is how many of us became atheists.

Because the Jesus that is found in the buy-bull is the one that Paul fabricated.

To find the true teachings of Jesus, seek the Gnostics or the Essenes.

The "loving" Christians that we see here every single day, follow PAULIANITY.

Haven't heard the hate Jesus thing yet, just the hate toward religious leaders as they tend to be very corrupt.

The Jesus stories are mythology and people are only brainwashed to believe in them. That has nothing to do with hate.

This point may be lost on a lot of people but anyway.. When Saul was persecuting Christians and God blinded him temporarily, God said " Saul, Saul why do you persecute me?"

Saul was not doing anything to persecute God directly. He was seeing that Christians were killed and held someone's coat while Stephen was stoned to death.

According to this story, if you hate on Christians , you are hating on Christ .

Never met someone who hated Jesus... Unless they were just blatantly ignorant, but aside from that I have never met a well informed person who hated Jesus.

I have NEVER heard one person say that they "hate Jesus". I do not belong to an organized religion, and neither do many of the people around me, but, we follow the teachings of Jesus, as well as others like Buddha, etc. because of the love that he tried to teach us.

How come YOU seem to know people who have stated this. Even Mahatma Gandhi and other great teachers, quote Jesus as example of goodness and unconditional love etc.
